While Synder’s movie has received praise from fans, with many calling to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, WarnerMedia Studios CEO Ann Sarnoff told Variety that the director’s 4-hour cut of Justice League completed his trilogy. “We’re just so happy that he could bring his cut of the ‘Justice League’ to life because that wasn’t in the plan until about a year ago. With that comes the completion of his trilogy,” she said. “We’re very happy we’ve done this, but we’re very excited about the plans we have for all the multi-dimensional DC characters that are being developed right now.” However, when Snyder originally made the film, it was “part of a five-part trilogy.” Snyder told Vanity Fair, “There were two more episodes of the Justice League to be shot.” In another interview with Deadline, Synder revealed that his cut, which is now streaming on HBO Max, was “really the setup” for  “two more Darkseid Invasion films.” The director added, “Even if there’s never another movie, it just felt like in-genre and in the tone to really have this kind of bigger sort of cliffhanger look at the very end. It just made sense to me.” So, what would have been the plot for the second Justice League? Snyder revealed to Vanity Fair that Darkseid would have come to Earth and Superman would have asked Batman to keep Lois Lane safe, though she would have ended up getting killed. “The world falls because Superman succumbs to the Anti-Life Equation, and that’s it,” Snyder shared. “That’s what the post-apocalyptic world is: Superman just searching for Batman to kill him to get his revenge for the death of Lois.” According to Vanity Fair, Snyder “knows it’s unlikely” he’ll get to tell his remaining stories, but he noted, “I didn’t think I’d be here talking about [a restored] Justice League, so never say never.” Next, is there going to be a second season of WandaVision?
